YOU ARE BLESSED BEYOND CURSE

Blessed are you when you were cursed to serve. Blessed are you when you were blessed to serve. Let us presume one of these two statements is for one person Mr. A while the other is for another Mr.B.

There is one similarity between the two. They were both called to serve while difference is the opposing perspective to their calling. One is expected to see his calling as a blessing; a perspective, while the other sees his as a curse; another perspective.

The expected outcome as the humans that we are is that, the one whose perspective painted a curse will more likely not serve the ones to be served well enough because of how the word; curse is supposed to color his emotion and therefore affects his outlook towards life. And for the one with an opposing perspective, the reversal is the case.

Ham, one of Noah’s three sons was cursed in order to be a blessing for the rest. I read the scriptures unbiased with the help of the Holy Spirit and discovered that Ham did not see his father’s nakedness out of willful endeavors. He stumbled on that evil. Powers beyond his capability nudged him into that fateful circumstance. After founding himself in the seemingly unfortunate situation, he began his real service to his brothers by quickly going to tell them their father was naked. He did it to prevent them from falling into the same pit he found himself. Imagine he just kept quiet, watching to see others too stumble on their father’s nakedness in order to drag them into the same fate that has befallen him. But instead, he made the needed move; he served them by alerting them to the danger lurking around in order to assist them in acting accordingly. Therefore, is it unwise to say that the cursing of Ham birth the other two’s blessings? Was Jesus not cursed for our sake in order for us to become blessed?

But should we be complacent in our cursed life in order to be a blessing to our brothers as called by God for us to be a blessing? Yes. One; because it is a calling and we should be willing to obey God’s calling, for that alone is the basis on which God will adjudge us righteous. Obedience, which is He asserted is far more effective and valuable than sacrifice when it’s about pleasing Him. Two, I just talked about perspective. The one who is seeing it from a cursed point of view chose to see it that way and will definitely pay emotionally for this specific choice. While the one with a more advanced and perfect thinking whose perspective is different will also reap the corresponding emotiveness.  It is a question of perspective. It’s like a popular analogy that describes a cup being painted a half full or half empty. From one angle, the cup is considered full and from another, empty. It all depends on perspectives.

This is a wakeup call for all who are called by God to serve at this time. No matter what you are passing through which most of the time the adversity is expanded and exaggerated by the way we respond to life’s battles and challenges, I encourage you to know that we are called to serve. We should not be forgetful of God’s words that say, it is more blessed to give than to receive. Most times we limit giving to only tangible materials such as money or food. But we can also serve in terms of giving intangible things in form of anything. In the corporate world, we hear companies say they sell services as against tangible products.

The truth is God can never curse nobody. All of these negative words have to be coined for the purpose of communication amongst a judgmental community of human beings with highly ineffective thinking. Their thinking became ineffective since they chose not to depend on God for anything.

However, the Lord admonished we should strive towards being perfect as He that is in heaven. This includes being perfect and advanced in our thinking too.

Numbers 23:20 says; Look here, I received a word of blessing, and He has spoken a blessing. I cannot take it back. Beloved, you are blessed beyond a curse for what I bless no man can curse. My word is Truth and nothing and no one can stand against it.

You’ve been pronounced blessed by God. Do not allow your assignment begin to make you turn to or create a perspective that makes you feel cursed. Carry out your service without murmur or complain. Carrying out of your service without regret of any form is the only way to save up treasures for yourself in heaven as elicited in the Bible. It is the greatest form of self-love. This is how you rule as the king that you are in the kingdom of God. This has nothing to do with having a physical crown of gold on your head or being a president of one of the countries of this overly corrupt world system. It is plainly spiritual and the rewards accrued to serving on this level are spiritual. They are things no amount of money or connection can get for you.
